While sitting in a hotel room in February, I was scrolling through facebook and saw that a bride to be was searching for a photographer. I reached out to her and a few days later, Laura and Nick had decided that they wanted me to capture their special day!
Fast forward to October 5, the forecast that morning was calling for snow/rain and lots of wind. Not the information any bride wants to hear. Rain and snow can be dealt with, and wind isn’t too bad, but together....ugh. Good-bye hair and make up! So indoor photos it is! Although I have heard that rain on your wedding is good luck!
I arrived at the Inn and the Forks mid-afternoon. Laura was sitting in a chair having her make-up done, her red/auburn hair looked amazing. Watching a bride see herself in the mirror after they are all dolled up is a fun experience. The look on her face is always of pure excitement.

All of the bridesmaids gather around to see the glow on the brides face as she smiles in the mirror. The make-up compliments Laura’s skin, hair and eyes. A final touch of peachy blush and she’s just perfect.
Next is the dress. Making sure not to get any of the fresh make-up on the white dress from the bride or anyone else.
Laura’s choice of dress is elegant. The long sleeves with lace gives the dress the perfect look for a fall wedding. I couldn’t imgaine her in a different style.
She’s all set! Ready to do her first look with Nick. The excitement and butterflies make her giddy. Yet the smile will not leave her face. All of the women leave the room. In the silence Laura looks in the mirror one last time as we wait for Nick to come up to the third floor of the hotel. One last deep breath. I walk to the door to let Nick know that I’ll give him the que to come in, I cannot miss getting his reaction to his beautiful soon to be wife.
From the moment he sees her, Nick does not take his eyes off of Laura. He continues to smile at her each time she catches his glance. Its obvious that this woman is his world.

The rain and snow have begun to come down even more outside making us wondering if its now November, rather than October. Which means indoor photos! But these two don’t care. They are more than content with just being together regardless of the location, but no kisses until the ceremony.
Nick isn’t the only one who can’t take his eyes off Laura. Her bridesmaids are gushing over her constantly. That can only mean one thing! Selfie time! Seeing a bride being able to laugh and truly enjoy her day is the best. Because that’s what it‘s all about!
As guests begin to arrive, Laura sneaks off to her room to change her shoes and hide from everyone. The guests shouldn't see the bride until she walks down the aisle.

The ceremony begins as Nick and his dad walk into the ballroom behind the grooms men. Nick's dad has the honour of preforming the ceremony. The men are all in place, the music changes and in walk the ladies. Once again Nick's eyes are glued to Laura.
Its now time for their vows, Nick pulls out a piece of paper and Laura exclaims "that's all you have?!" as she is passed her stack of cards. Everyone lets out a small laugh.
A few tears of love fall as the two express their love for each other before they seal the celebration with a kiss...

Mr & Mrs!
Congratulations Laura and Nick!
